The local Ferry

The local ferry is called “Achilleas”. The ferry belongs to Skyros  Shipping company founded in 1980.

the shipping company belongs to the people of  Skyros (2.200 shareholders). A share of 27% is owned by the municipality of Skyros.

“Achilleas” is on service since 23 March of 2005. The crossing, connecting port of Kymi in Evoia and Port of Linaria in Skyros, is on a daily basis all year long. During the summer period crossings are increasing according the demand.

“Achilleas” is the 3rd ferry  owned by Skyros shipping co. “Lycomides” and “Anemoessa”  served the line from 1980 to 2005.

Three Bars (one open) are available to the passengers.

Two fully equiped passenger cabins are incuded to the distinguished section.

The central garage has a capacity of 120 cars.
