Skyros sea waters rank very high among the best fishing fields of the Greek Archipelago. Moreover, they enjoy an excellent fame as lobster “hosting” births.

Fishing in the harbor

Among amateurs, fishing in the port waters enjoy a high reputation as ”lucky”.

No need of any license if using rods, canes or lines for fishing from the shore and the harbor piers.

To those, patient and skilled, waiting for the frequently visiting tunas, the saddled fish or squids to curiously approach the bite, we wish them all good luck.

For ambitious fishermen diving underwater, using fishing nets or seeking bigger catch from a boat, a special permit is required. In this case it is advised to contact the port authorities.
